My name is Lucas Haddick, and I am 7 years old. I look forward to camping every year, especially in West Yellowstone and Glacier.
Hebgen lake was a short drive from where we were staying. I collected shotgun shells on the beach and there were a lot of them. We went there 3 nights in a row each night staying about 1 or 2 hours. Me and my dad were walking and he pointed out some bird eggs. The eggs were really cool! We also went fishing, unfortunately, I didn’t catch any fish but my siblings ( Drew, Cooper, and Ally) did. They had a small belly, a tail and black eyes.
In Glacier I enjoy biking on Going To The Sun Road. We usually stop along McDonald Creek to have lunch and throw rocks in the water. Sometimes we see Harlequin ducks. They float and fly and quack and dive under the water. Sometimes we make it all the way up to the tunnel.
I’m glad we can be outside at these places.
